Empowering Women in Art – C-Sweet Panel at the Hilbert Museum
In August, I joined fellow artists Lia Halloran and Melissa Thrasher at the Hilbert Museum for a C-Sweet panel focused on Art in the 21st Century: Economic Insights and AI Innovations. Hosted by C-Sweet, a prominent women's executive network, and moderated by Helen Noris, vice president for information technology and CIO at Chapman University, this event explored the profound shifts occurring in today’s art landscape, driven by both economic pressures and transformative technology like AI.
We delved into the intersection of economics and digital advancement, particularly how AI tools are reshaping artistic creation and consumption. Together, we discussed the challenges and opportunities these changes present, from navigating intellectual property concerns to the ways AI can expand creative expression and empower artists.
The conversation was a powerful reminder of the adaptability and resilience of the art community, especially among women creatives. For those who missed the event, we’re excited to announce a virtual panel in December, which will provide an even deeper dive into the themes that resonate with artists and art enthusiasts alike.
We’re excited to share that, following the success of our August panel, we’ll be hosting another virtual event on December 12. This time, I’ll be joined by Melissa Thrasher and Micol Hebron, an Associate Professor at Chapman University, for further insights into AI's impact on art, evolving career paths, and more. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with thought leaders in the art world! Register now on the C-Sweet website to reserve your spot.
